the NGO Act in Kaski District Administrative Office (DAO Reg. No – 1101) dated 27th August 2002 and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council in April 2004. It holds Permanent Account Number (PAN) and tax exempt certificate issued by Inland Revenue Department.
CSG focuses work on Harm Reduction, Prevention, Care, Treatment and Support, awareness raising in Drug Addiction and HIV and AIDS infection in the locality and has involve People living with HIV and/or AIDS to advocate the rights of men, women and children infected and affected by HIV and AIDS, to reduce stigma and discrimination, and to access quality services and support that address their specific needs to contribute as part of the community without fear of discrimination. Facilitate and assists to being hygiene harmless home environment and safe shelter to PLHIV, Drug Users and community around.
With time CSG realized HIV and drug use are closely related and that HIV plays an important role at individual, family and community level. This realization led CSG to expand their working area and also address issues related to HIV in the area of prevention, awareness raising, stigma reduction and care & support. Organization has focused to : HIV Prevention , Care , Treatmet and Support to PLHIV through Community Care Centre and Community Home based Care in Kaski , Tanahun , Baglung and Syangja Districts, Comprehesive HIV Prevention program to Migrant and their spouse in Myagdi and Parbat Districts. HIV Prevntion in Priosin at Kaski for female inmates.The organization has been implementing Various program under the conducting HIV/AIDS awareness classes among school going children in many schools, drop in center for drug users and PLHAs, counseling services to the infected and affected people and their families, hospital referral services. Skill development training was also provided to the IDUs and PLHAs in coordination with national and international organizations. Women Rights, Child Rights, Education Rights and Livelihood issues aligned in various implemented program. From 2012 onwards, the organization has prioritized disaster risk reduction and Community Development as one of the key thematic area.
